The flood protection measures of the Pastierský brook in Lietavská Lúčka were implemented in the length of 1.3 km. The treatment of the stream consisted of an open section of 1 km and a covered section of 300 m. One part of the open section was deepened and widened, consisted of monolithic foundation strips and the banks of the future stream were fortified with stone blocks. The entrances to the houses were demolished and new prefabricated panels were installed, galvanised railings were installed along the open section, and the next open section is made up of gutters and a bedding. The covered section is formed by fibreglass pipes and frame culverts.
